The Inspiration Shaping Our Designs

Our approach to design begins with structures found across Chinese visual traditions, including motifs refined within Miao heritage. Architectural lines, balanced geometries and the quiet order present in historic objects offer the framework from which each form begins.

Inspiration often emerges through observing how these structures appear in different settings. A carved detail on a building, the curve of a river stone or the rhythm of a woven surface may suggest proportions that feel familiar yet open to interpretation. These observations shape the early studies from which each piece develops.

As the design evolves, the reference becomes more abstract. Lines are refined, volumes are reduced and details are considered with restraint. The resulting form carries the clarity of its origin while settling naturally into modern life. Calm surfaces and grounded proportions reflect our preference for measured expression rather than decoration.

Sketches and incremental adjustments allow each piece to find its final balance. Traditional ideas and contemporary needs meet quietly in this process, allowing heritage to inform the direction while the present moment refines the expression.

Our work lies in this movement between interpretation and simplicity. Each piece carries echoes of its cultural sources while speaking in a language that belongs to today.
