We work exclusively with 990 silver. Its softness allows the metal to respond closely to the hand, creating measured surfaces and gentle curves that retain subtle traces of the making process. Its high purity produces a calm, natural sheen that differs from standard sterling silver through its flexibility and its quieter reflection of light.

The material carries significance within Chinese traditions, including those of the Miao ethnic group, where silver is associated with protection and the idea of keeping good fortune close to the body. Shaping, filing and controlled oxidation are carried out slowly to preserve depth and texture.
