Description of Jewellery
This piece draws from two motifs found in Miao craft traditions, including the circular structure of ceremonial drums and the mirrored outlines associated with butterfly forms. These elements are combined and adapted into a format suited to contemporary jewellery.
The form is defined through coiled filigree work in 990 silver, where fine wire is shaped into layered circular and scroll components. The composition maintains a clear axis and balanced geometry, framed by a continuous outer line that establishes the measured outline.
By bringing together two long-standing structural motifs, the earrings present cultural references in a distilled modern form, retaining clarity while remaining grounded in traditional craftsmanship.
